Waldorf students win Princeton Prize in Race Relations

The Waldorf School of Garden City (WSGC) is proud to announce that junior Sanaalee Troupe and senior Zamiya Jean are recipients of the 2021 Princeton Prize in Race Relations Certificate of Accomplishment. Sanaalee and Zamiya founded the School’s first Black Student Union (BSU), recently organized a Black Professionals and Allyship forum, and have been leaders in the School in helping to educate students and faculty about a variety of social issues including race relations. Sanaa is also the founder and executive director of Cleaner Oceans Institute, "a youth-led organization focused on resolving the environmental injustices within our world."
