Evodie Ngoy

Evodie was recognized for being a powerful short-film maker documenting issues of racism stemming from being a refugee. She and her family are refugees from the Congo and have been in the U.S. since 2006. Her body of work includes, "An Education in Apathy," "The Paradise that Wasn't," and most recently "The Golden Tongue." An eloquent presenter, Evodie has spoken at events including Tedx Baltimore 2013, International Women's Day, and Tedx Youth Day 2012 to give voice to new refugees and to promote togetherness among all races.
