A Delbarton senior awarded the Princeton Prize in Race Relations recently returned from a symposium on the subject at the university.
Shawn Ohazuruike was honored for his work moving the Delbarton Minority Mentors program to a new platform, Diversity Among Peers, which invites all students to participate.
In his essay applying for the Princeton Prize, Ohazuruike wrote about the anxiety of adjusting to life at Delbarton, a different socioeconomic environment compared to his hometown of Newark, and how it led him to build upon the Minority Mentors Program.
